amrita rao 2011

 amrita rao 2011
Amrita Rao sure knows how to let her hair down. The actor brought in the New Year in style by partying hard till the wee hours and indulging in her favourite foods and drinks. And before you start thinking that she's been a naughty girl, she laughingly clarifies, "Now, don't get ideas! By drinks, I mean only juice." Kicked about ushering in 2011 with a lot of love, good wishes and positive vibes, Amu talks to CS about the coming year and the one gone by The biggest highlight of 2010 was being back on board with the Rajshri family for my next film. They're like family to me, and after Vivaah, I really wanted to work with them. Unlike other years, 2010 didn't keep me too busy in front of the camera. made good use of the year making new friends from other fields (and keeping in touch with them, thanks to my new Blackberry), exploring new places in the city and connecting with spirituality.

And yes, last year, I became the proud aunt of a gorgeous baby girl, all thanks to my cousin in the US. Some times you need to come out of the pond to get a larger perspective of life! One of the fun things in 2010 was to discover Mumbai and its surroundings. She went to Dela Adventure, a resort in Lonavala where she did rock climbing, rappelling, bungee trampoline, archery and lots of adventure sports 30 feet above ground level. It was such an adrenaline rush. she also indulged myself at Bade Miyan, a place I had only heard of. Eating on the bonnet of my car reminded me of the college days.

I also went to the Nehru planetarium, which hasn't changed since the time she was a kid (laughs). Believe it or not, she also checked out the Rambo Circus. She was jumping out of my seat in sheer excitement. 2010 has taught her some important lessons, both on the professional and personal front. She have learnt to make sure that I have the right kind of people working for me, and that she work with the right people. She have also realised that happiness matters above everything else. So her mantra for 2011 is to be happy.

In the coming year, she only want to think happy thoughts and be in the company of positive people. Her last year's resolution was to polish my socialising skills, and she have fared quite well. In 2011, wish to work with Aamir Khan, whom admire greatly. Next, hope that the film Love you Mr Kalakar is a blockbuster, and that I get to work with Aditya Chopra.
